Check your bag and room for trackers while you travel — on Android
TFind is an Android app that scans your luggage, hotel room or rental car for unknown AirTags, SmartTags and Tiles over Bluetooth while you travel.

A tracker slipped into checked luggage or a rental car is a real travel worry. On Android, TFind lets you sweep the space around you for AirTags, SmartTags and Tiles before you settle in — and tells you if the same unknown tag keeps turning up from one stop to the next.
Sweeping a space
- Open TFind, tap Start Scan, and allow Bluetooth and Location.
- Walk the room or car slowly. Scan from two or three spots — metal and walls swallow Bluetooth.
- Watch the distance band to close in on anything you don’t recognise.
- Tag your own trackers as My Tags so the luggage tile you meant to pack doesn’t keep alerting.
Why the repeat check matters on the road
One tag at the airport means nothing. The same tag showing up again at your hotel is the signal worth noticing — and that gap across time and place is exactly what TFind watches for.
What works on Android — and what doesn't
Works on Android
- Sweep a hotel room, rental car or your own bags for AirTag, SmartTag/+ and Tile
- Flags a tracker that turns up near you again at a later stop — the pattern that matters when you're on the move
- Uses the distance band to help you narrow down where a tag is stashed
- Runs on any Android 8.0+ phone, so it works on the road without a Samsung or Apple account
Honest limits
- Metal — a car body, a packed suitcase — weakens Bluetooth, and walls block it; move around and scan from a few spots
- An AirTag rebroadcasts only about every 15 minutes, so scan a space for a minute rather than a single glance
- Detects AirTag, SmartTag and Tile only, and can't tell you who owns a tag it finds
- Ongoing checks keep a scan notification running, which uses battery on a travel day
On iPhone? TFind is Android-only. On an iPhone, use Apple's built-in tracker-detection alerts instead.
FAQ
- Can I check a hotel room or rental car?
- Yes. Start a scan and move around the space — TFind lists any AirTags, SmartTags or Tiles it hears and shows roughly how close each one is. Scan from a couple of spots, since metal and walls block the signal.
- Will it work on my Android phone abroad?
- Yes. Scanning happens over Bluetooth on your phone, so it doesn't depend on your country or a mobile signal. It runs on any Android 8.0+ device.
- Does it need internet?
- Scanning for tags works offline over Bluetooth. The app's ads need a connection, but detection itself does not.
